Review by hotel critic
Riad Sahara Nour offered a captivating blend of traditional Moroccan charm and modern hospitality. Nestled in the heart of Marrakech, its location is ideal for exploring the vibrant old town. The labyrinthine streets may present a challenge when dragging luggage, but once you arrive, you're treated to a serene atmosphere that feels miles away from the hustle and bustle. The service here was commendable. The staff, including Francois and Samira, were consistently helpful, assisting with communication and travel inquiries. Housekeeping kept our room tidy, adding to a sense of comfort. Breakfast was hearty but repetitive, making it ideal for short stays but potentially less satisfying for those staying longer. While the Riad doesn't feature a pool, the beautiful seating areas, library, and music room compensated well for this. Enjoying an afternoon tea in the tranquil courtyard was a lovely touch. While Riad Sahara Nour may not flaunt the luxury bells and whistles of some larger hotels, the authentic experience and attentive service present solid value for travelers seeking immersion in Marrakech’s culture.
